The Hulk

For finishing kindergarten we decided to get Noah a little gift that he's been wanting. He loves the Hulk gloves and mask he's been seeing commercials for on tv and has been asking for them, so we got him those. He really likes them and was so happy and surprised when we got them for him. Anna doesn't like the mask very much when he wears it. It scares her a little, but she loves the gloves and often puts them on all by herself and walks around the house with them.

Don't mess with Noah

I don't think I posted one of these pictures before so I'll post one now. Anna loves our cat Tigger. Anytime she sees him she wants to hug him and pet him and rub her face on his hair. One thing she really loves to do when she sees him is lay right on top of him. He doesn't seem to mind though. He lets her do it for a minute then wiggles his way out from under her.

Vacation Bible School and More Swimming

This week Noah went to Vacation Bible School. We invited his good friend Mykenzi next door too. They both had so much fun and learned alot about choosing Jesus. Mykenzi's parents would take them every morning, and I would go pick them up every afternoon, and they both loved singing all the songs they were learning at VBS in the car on the way home. At the beginning of the week they gave each child a cd with the songs on it so they could practice their songs at home. The theme of VBS was Sonworld Adventure Park, and they learned all about choices each day. The first day was choose to believe, the second day was choose to act, the third day was choose forgiveness, the fourth day was choose to obey, and the fifth day was choose Jesus. Noah and Mykenzi's favorite song of the week was Choose Jesus, but unfortunately I didn't get any video of them singing it at the end of the week for the parents. I did get a video of their second favorite song which I posted below, but I will try to get a video of Noah singing the other song at home.

Noah also had his second week of swimming lessons this week. He still won't completely put his head under water, but he's getting a little bit better.

Basketball Camp and Swimming Lessons

This week Noah went to a week long basketball camp at the local high school. He had a great time and really enjoyed it. He didn't get very good at playing basketball, and he still can't make a basket cause he can't seem to throw the ball that high in the air, but he had fun trying. He did learn how to dribble pretty good though. On the last day of camp they had the parents come early to watch the kids play some and then they had a pizza party. Noah followed this one little girl around the gym the whole time that day, but she didn't seem to mind. He copied everything she did, and she even sat down and talked with him for a little while. When the pizza came she got him and took him over to the snack area with her, and she held his hand and made sure he got the pizza he wanted, and then she sat and ate with him. It was so sweet to watch. Oh, did I mention she was about twice his age? I think that's what made it even cuter, the fact that she didn't mind this little boy half her age following her around and doing everything she did, and she never once left him behind to go play with other kids her own age.

Noah also started swimming lessons this week. He loves it. There are three other little boys in his class and two of them are brothers whose dad used to work with Arron. It's neat that they ended up in the same class together, and they've become great friends too. Noah has always loved the pool, but only if he can touch the bottom or if he has a float to hold onto. He does not like going under water or even putting his face in the water, so he has some fears he needs to conquer in these swim classes before he learns how to swim.

A Little Trip

Noah finished kindergarten on June 6th. Can you believe he's going to be starting 1st grade? I can't. Here he is getting ready to go to his last day of school. He looks so grown up already.

Off to the last day of kindergarten

After he got home from school we headed off on a little trip to visit our friends Steve, Julie, Anthony, and Hannah in NC for the weekend. We went to a festival at the NC State Fairgrounds while we were there. It was so hot though so we spent most of our time inside at the Food Expo trying out the free samples. Noah enjoyed going on some of the rides though before we left.

On our way home from the festival Steve and Julie stopped and got a little slip and slide for Noah to play with in their back yard. It took a couple tries and Steve going down it once or twice too to show him how it's done, but Noah finally got the hang of it for the most part.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Baby! I hope you enjoyed your day.

I'm very thankful for my husband. He's a great husband and a great father to our children. He loves them dearly, takes good care of them, and always makes them laugh. They both get so happy when Daddy comes home from work each day, and they run right to him. I'm so happy they have a good daddy who's always there for them and would do anything for them.

The day before Father's Day we went to a new movie theater here (without the kids) and saw The Happening. We've liked M. Night Shyamalan movies ever since we saw The Sixth Sense, so we always go to see his new movies. This one was pretty good, but not one of my favorites of his. I think Arron liked it more than I did though. Then we went across the street from the theater to have dinner at California Pizza before picking up the kids at Grammy's. On Father's Day we had a nice dinner at Carrabba's restaurant, and then we went to Grammy's house for some dessert I had made earlier, and the kids gave Daddy his presents. He liked his presents, which were new games for his Wii and had fun playing them later on that evening when we got home. He's still a kid at heart.

The New Wagon

My mom got the kids a wagon. I've always wanted one for them, and this one is perfect. Noah is getting a little bit big to ride in the wagon though, but he still fits right now, so that's all that matters. Anna loves the wagon. She's always climbing in and out of it and sitting in the seats in it.

We went for a walk around the neighborhood with the wagon. We put Noah and Anna in it and even little Bailey. They all seemed to enjoy it. Jack had to walk along side them though. He's too big.

Field Day

Today was field day at Noah's school. Anna and I went to watch Noah and his class in all the events they did. They all looked like they had alot of fun, and it was a nice day for field day. It was cloudy almost the whole time until right before it was time to go inside, and then the sun came out, so it wasn't too hot the whole time we were outside, which was nice. It made the day so much more enjoyable. Here's some pictures of the relay races they did.
