Thanksgiving

I'm thankful that none of us had the stomach flu this Thanksgiving, and we were able to have our dinner on Thanksgiving day this year instead of a week later like last year. That was definitely not a fun Thanksgiving last year especially once Anna caught our stomach bug because she was only 10 months old, and it wasn't easy for me either while I had it since I was still nursing her at the time. This year we just had a nice quiet dinner at home, and it was delicious. Now I can't wait for Christmas.

Noah, my picky eater, eating fish sticks for Thanksgiving dinner.

And Anna, my good little eater, enjoying broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, and especially the cranberry sauce. She didn't eat the turkey though, she hasn't been too into meat lately unless it's meatloaf.

She's a funny little girl. I guess she's going to be my little helper. She got one of her wet washcloths and wiped the whole table down after dinner. She loves to do that, and no one has ever even shown her how to do it. She just started doing it one day.

More Baby News

This week I'm about 23 weeks. I feel lots of kicking now all the time. I had my doctor's appointment a couple weeks ago where we were supposed to find out what we are having this time. I've been looking so forward to this appointment and couldn't wait to find out, but for the first time in all of my pregnancies we weren't able to find out. My doctor spent quite awhile looking all around on the ultrasound trying to get a good look so she could make a guess for us, but this baby did not want us to know. It's legs were crossed and it kept moving around so she could not give us a definite answer. She did say if she had to make a guess she thought maybe it was a girl at one point during the ultrasound, but she really couldn't tell at all. With Noah she was 100% sure it was a boy, we all were, with Anna, she was about 90% sure it was a girl, but this baby I guess it was more like 1%. I just couldn't believe when I left the doctor's office I still didn't know what I was having. Aside from all that though everything looked good on the ultrasound with the baby. It looked healthy and was growing well. I was glad that we all got to go and see the baby too. Anna, Noah, and Arron were all there, and the doctor even gave Noah some ultrasound pictures just for him of his new baby brother or sister. He really liked that.

Noah's Walking Again

Last week Noah had another quick surgery just to remove the two pins in his foot. He still has the other four pins in his leg, but now there is a cast molded around them so that he can start walking again finally. He was hestitant at first but Monday he just took off and started walking and hasn't stopped since. He's so happy to be walking again. He still has a long road ahead of him though. However long you spend lengthening the leg you spend twice that in a cast letting the bone heal and harden. We spent a little over 5 weeks lengthening the leg so it will be at least 10 weeks before he gets the pins out and the cast off which will probably be sometime in February. Next week when school starts back after Thanksgiving break Noah gets to go back and join his class again now that we're done with the lengthening process and he's started walking on it. He can't wait.
