Happy Birthday Grammy!

Today was Grammy's birthday. Me, Anna, Noah, and Grammy all went to play putt putt golf together. We had a great time. Then, that evening we ate dinner at Cracker Barrell and went back to our house to give Grammy her presents and eat cake and ice cream.

Our 8th Anniversary

Tuesday was our 8th anniversary. Arron sent me some beautiful flowers that smelled so nice. That night we took the kids over to Grammy's house for the evening. It was Anna's first time away from both of us. She did fine though, but looked happy to see Mommy when I came back for her. We went to Applebees for dinner, and then went to see Evan Almighty at the theater. We both enjoyed the movie, and our first evening out just the two of us in a long time.

Birthdays and Buddies

Last Monday was Nanny's birthday. We celebrated by going out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then going back to my Mom's house for cake and presents. Noah helped her open all of her presents. He loves to open presents even if they aren't his, but he got a little ahead of her at times. Then he helped blow out the candles on the cake too.

We also had some special visitors this past week as well. Our friends Steve, Julie, and Anthony came down to see us and meet Anna for the first time. When they went home they left Anthony to stay with us for most of the week. Noah loved having his buddy Anthony around. He had a big brother to hang out with and play with. Almost every night Noah would crawl into Anthony's sleeping bag with him in the middle of the night. Noah had fun playing games with Anthony and going to Magiquest with him, and Anthony got to see what it's like having a baby around because he will soon have a new baby sister at the end of September. Anthony practiced changing diapers a few times and feeding Anna her oatmeal in the mornings. Noah was very sad to see his buddy go.

Happy 4th of July!!!

We had a great 4th of July. Noah and Daddy played outside and then Daddy filled up the baby pool so Anna and Noah could get in. Anna seemed to like it, but she wasn't too thrilled with it. Then we got cleaned up and got ready for our guests. Grammy, Nanny, Mike, Dolly, and Michael Dean all came over for our cookout. We had a great meal and my 4th of July cake and then Grammy and Nanny went home after playing with the grandkids for a while. Later on that evening the rest of us all went outside to watch the neighborhood fireworks. Surprisingly, the babies weren't frightenend by all the noise. Anna really seemed to enjoy the fireworks. Everytime she'd hear another boom she'd turn her head in the direction it came from and watch all the pretty colors light up the sky. I think she liked all the colors. Noah kept exclaiming "Wow!" all night long, and Michael Dean even fell asleep out there.
