Anna has learned so many new things in the past month and a half. She started eating finger foods like the ones in the picture below. They're little fruit puffs made by Gerber kind of like Cheerios except these dissolve in your mouth. She loves them. She has also started sampling from Mommy's plate as well. She just grabs a handful of whatever's close to her. So far she has enjoyed meatloaf, mashed potatoes, angel hair pasta, broccoli, and spaghetti and meatballs. She's a little limited though in what she can eat since no teeth have emerged yet, but they should be here soon.
Other firsts for Anna this month have included learning to sit on her own without any support or help from anyone. Then about a week after mastering that skill she finally figured out crawling. She started off just doing the army crawl, scooting herself along the floor on her belly, but it wasn't much longer before she got herself up on her hands and knees to crawl. Once she had the crawling down about a week after that she decided to crawl over to the coffee table and pull herself up to stand. Now she just loves to stand up. She'll crawl over to anything she can find and pull herself up, so she can reach more things like the remote controls or the telephone. She especially loves to crawl to the backdoor and stand and look out the window. There is a picture of that down below. She's already starting to take steps while holding onto the coffee table so that she can chase her brother around and try to grab whatever he's playing with, so I'm sure walking on her own will not be far behind.
