Halloween 2012

Before Halloween we spent an evening getting our pumpkins ready and carving them, and then we decorated  some Halloween cookies too.  The kiddos did a great job cleaning out the pumpkin this year.  They all dug in this time, usually they don't want to put their hands in it. They made some cute Halloween cookies as well.

For Halloween we had an army man, strawberry shortcake, and snow white.  Gracie's lip looks a little funny in some of the pics because she fell down and busted her lip the day before Halloween.  They all got lots of candy and had a great time trick or treating, but I think they enjoyed handing out candy when we got home even more.

Halloween Happenings

For our pre-Halloween festivities first we had trunk or treat with our homeschool co-op.  The kids all dressed up for classes that day, and then trick or treated in the parking lot afterwards.  They had so much fun.

We also went to a fall festival at the rec. center and played a bunch of games, got lots of candy, some balloon animals and played on some bouncy houses too.  It was another fun time getting us ready for Halloween.

After the fall festival we decided to head on out to go pick out our pumpkins to carve.  We had a good time looking through all the pumpkins and trying to pick out just the right one.

Halloween

For Halloween this year Noah went as Iron Man, Anna was Sleeping Beauty, and Gracie was Minnie Mouse. It ended up being cooler out Halloween night, so the kids didn't last very long. We were all getting too cold out there. That was okay though. They got their fill of trick or treating and got plenty of candy, then they went back home and got to hand out candy to all the other kids. They liked doing that just as much. They would race each other to the door to see who was going to get to hand out the candy to the kids. They all had so much fun this Halloween.

Pumpkin Carving

Two nights before Halloween we decided we better get busy carving our pumpkin. Much to my surprise Arron decided to carve the 3 little ones that the kids had picked out for themselves as well. He did an awesome job with the faces for all of them. The kids helped him dig out the guts of the big pumpkin. Anna was totally grossed out by it this year and really didn't want any part of it, but she helped some with the use of different kitchen utensils. Noah actually used his hands some this year. He normally doesn't like to touch the stuff either, but Gracie was the best helper of all three. She dug right in there and nearly looked like she was going to fall in the pumpkin.

Getting ready to dig out the pumpkin.

Anna preferred using a spoon to dig out the pumpkin, but really didn't want to do it all.

Gracie was our best pumpkin digger outer.

Halloween Parties

We had two Halloween parties to go to, one with our mom's group with lots of moms and kiddies and a smaller one with our bestest friends. We all had so much fun at both parties, spending time with all our friends, playing little Halloween games, making crafts, and eating yummy food too. It was a wonderful time with friends, and the kids all dressed up in their Halloween costumes at both parties too.

Now Gracie's turn.

Catching the little rubber duckies.

Gracie loved this.

Playing inside with all the toys.

Gracie loved the car garage with all the ramps for the cars to go down.

Anna was Little Red Riding Hood for the party, and Gracie was Minnie Mouse.
