We went for our 3-D ultrasound last night. It was really neat to see, and we got some great pictures and a dvd of the new baby. It was still a little difficult to tell, but the lady that did the ultrasound checked several different times during the session to make sure and was fairly certain that it's......A GIRL! It's nice to finally know so that we can put a name to this little one and not have to call the baby "it" anymore. I just hope that she wasn't wrong, and that we don't end up calling our little boy a girl name for the next several weeks. I'm thrilled it's another girl. I would've been happy either way, but I really wanted another girl. It makes it easier too. This baby will be closer in age to Anna, which means they will be sharing a room so having them both be girls works out perfectly. Not to mention the fact that since Anna isn't quite 2 yet I still have all of her clothes so I don't really need to buy anything for this baby, but I will get her a couple new outfits so she has a few that are her own. I don't have much of Noah's baby clothes. He's almost 7, and we just didn't have the room to save everything, so I picked out some of my favorites of his and only have one box of baby boy clothes and other items. Noah was a little disappointed that the baby is not a boy. We talked about it this morning while he was eating his breakfast, and he was kind of sad, but I told him it wasn't our decision. God gave us a baby girl, and we should be happy with whatever He has blessed us with. I told him he would still have fun with another baby sister, and that this means he won't have to share his toys, Anna does. I think he kind of liked that. I also told him I would take him out one day, and he could pick out an outfit or two for his new baby sister and maybe a little stuffed animal as well. That made him happy, and he's very excited to get to do this.
I guess you are all wondering what we are going to name her now. Yes, we have picked out a name. I think we have definitely decided on the first name, and we are pretty sure about the middle name. The middle name could change, but I doubt it. Arron chose this baby's name. I chose Anna's first and middle name, and I don't really remember exactly, but I think I had most, if not all, of the say in Noah's first and middle name. He agreed and liked both of their names, but didn't get to choose them himself. This time he finally got to choose the baby's first and middle name. Of course I had to like the names though too, which I did, so we now have a name to put to this face we got to see so clearly last night.
We'd like you to meet through 3-D ultrasound...
